New Garden Shed

My brother and I built this cute little garden shed to hold all my yard tools, wheel barrow, bags of planting mix, etc.

Started out by laying out forms and digging holes for the foundations.  By making this "jig" I could control the size, positions and leveling of the 4 corner foundation points.  This was easier than pouring a complete concrete slab and it will allow me to bring electricity and water up into the shed at a later date.

Poured the cement.

Then removed the forms      

  Here Gary is securing the floor boards to each foundation block.

We pre-built the walls in my garage and then assembled them on the floor.

  Gary made the door out of 10 pieces of 1X6 lumber.

Added a window and window box for real flowers.  I will add a drip watering system to the box connected to the back yard watering system.

IN THE "HOME" STRETCH

I guess it's been a while since I have posted an update.  We just found out today that our move in date has been moved up.  Here are the latest pictures.

Outside is basically done.  Nice two tone gray.  We are responsible for all landscaping. 

Most of the flooring is done.  Carpet later in two of the bedrooms.

Kitchen is almost done. 

Gayle has 2 glass door cabinets to display her colored goblet collection.

She also has pull out trays on both sides
 of the stove for pots and pans.

Garage is all done.  Can't wait to get in and get to work.

House is progressing

The heating and air conditioning (HVAC) and plumbing is complete.  The roofers are putting on the shingles today.  Just waiting for the electrician as I need to talk to him.  Things are going fast so have to go to the job site every day for awhile.

OUR NEWEST HOUSE IN ARIZONA

Moved back to Arizona in Prescott Valley.  Close enough to California to seem like home but without the traffic and hassles of SoCal.  Arrived in Prescott on Jan 9, 2018.  Within days, signed contract to build a new home.  The first set of pictures are of the model.

Things are going up quick now.  Just one day and the roof  rafters and all the internal walls have been framed in place.
